Counterfeit Medications

Professor Marc Gentilini, the President of OPALS, specializing in infectious diseases and Honorary President of the Academy of Medicine, has been invested in the fight against counterfeit medications for many years, notably working with the Chirac Foundation. (http://www.fondationchirac.eu/)

 

In the field, OPALS is beginning a new project in Togo focusing on counterfeit medications. A study will be conducted, starting in April of 2017, to analyze the reality of counterfeit ARV and anti-malaria drugs. This project will be taken on in partnership with the Health Ministry and with the National Order of Pharmacists of Togo.
